Favorites!

While driving home from the beach, Josh and I got to talking about our favorite spots here in Duluth and thought it would be fun to blog about them. We have quite a few and they include everything from hiking spots, to our favorite restaurants, shopping spots, etc. So here they are.

Canal Park has always been a favorite. However, it's also a big tourist spot during the summer months. Because of this we don't spend too much time there but instead we take a trip over the lift bridge to Park Point and relax on the beach.

The train museum is one of Max's favorites. And he will also tell you that he enjoys the children's museum, the library, the gymnastics academy, the aquarium, and of course the beach!

The Rose Garden

Numerous hiking spots along the shore and each one provides enough rocks to throw!

Lester River

Hartley Nature Center. It's fun climbing to the top of the huge rock, the view is AMAZING!

The Fitgers Brewhouse is without a doubt one of our favorite places to eat!

Last time I checked they were around $5 or $6. But so worth it. They're DELICIOUS!

Park Point Beach

and...

Gooseberry Falls. Okay so this one is not technically in Duluth it's about an hour north, but worth the drive.

I think that just about covers the majority of it. But since I did not have pics of all our favorite spots to eat we also enjoy Sala Thai(if you like Thai Food we highly recommend), Lake Avenue Cafe, Taste of Saigon, Amazing Grace and Sir Ben's. Those are just a few of the "local" restaurants & Cafe's we enjoy. As far as shopping goes we like a lot of stores in Canal Park. We're also big antique people, and one of my personal favorites is a cute little store called Serendipity. They sell a lot of vintage items, I always find something there that I like/want. So there you have it. For those of you who are not local but want to visit, the list should provide you a few spots to check out!
