Miss Lila recently turned 15 months and boy is she a busy little thing. She's forever on the go and enjoys getting into EVERYTHING! I feel pretty confident in saying that her #1 goal each and every day is to do all the things she is not suppose to do, and she knows what those things are. For example, she is not to climb the stairs which is why the gate is in place, but she tries hard each and every day to sneak through. When she does and you catch her she shrieks with excitement, actually it's more of a naughty shriek. She has also been told over and over and over again not to put things in her mouth, but just about every minute of the day the girl has found something to stick in the there. Usually it's some kind of toy or part of a toy but it has also been paper, sunflower seeds, crayons, hair binders, etc. She doesn't care what it is.
Fortunately Miss Lila also has a sweet side to her. Lately she's become my little helper and she loves to help with the dishes. She's got it down pretty well. I now open the dishwasher and she makes her way into the cupboard and brings me the soap. She also loves to be the center of attention and prefers to be where the action is.
She's without a doubt my #1 cuddle bug and loves to give kisses and hugs. She's not yet into her baby dolls but LOVES her stuffed animals (aka: stuffies)! Oh my word the girl can't have enough. Garage sales are bad! She spots the boxes of stuffies a mile away and will grab 2-4 at a time. She's usually tripping down the driveway as we leave. And no joke she sleeps with about 7 of her stuffies. Along with stuffies she absolutely loves dogs and cats. Really any animal for that matter. They don't always love her but she'll love them up if they let her.
Her other interests include reading and recently she took up coloring. She loves it. However, it's hard to tell if she actually loves coloring or if she would rather eat the crayons. Which ever it is she's quite the little artist. She also loves to dance. Katy Perry's song "California Gurls" has become a fave when it's heard on the radio. Not really age appropriate but it's hard not to laugh when she's dancing to the beat. She loves the camera and is quick to show her cheesy grin when she sees it. Her vocabulary has also taken off in the past month and she is quick to repeat back any word you tell her. Her list of daily words include;
1. Dad
2. Mom
3. Max
4. Baby
5. Cat
6. Dog
7. Puppy
8. Izzy (Ms. Nora's dog)
9. Peez (Please)
10. Hi
11. Bye
12. Hot
13. Book
14. Apple
15. Quack
16. Duck
17. Who's Dat?
18. Waz Dat?
19. Dance
20. Thank You
21. More
22. Eat
23. Bowl
24. Ball
25. Uh Oh!
26. Boo
She's quickly becoming a little girl which is hard to believe. It's a little bittersweet that she's no longer a baby but we look forward to watching her grow and enjoy all that life has to offer.
And yes, the girl still LOVES to eat!
